A Very Brief Introduction

Join Dr. Sheldon Greaves for a short, relatively painless introduction to the Hebrew of the Old Testament by reading the first chapter of Genesis.

Participants in this class will learn the Hebrew alphabet and vowel points, with just enough vocabulary and grammar to get through the text—and no more. Our objective is to give you just a taste of what Hebrew is like; how it sounds, and a little bit about how the language works. I expect this to take about ten weeks, maybe longer.

Course begins Tuesday, June 30th
Class meets weekly on Tuesdays, 7-8:30pm
