Corvallis Together
Stand Against Hate and Violence
Join with your community in Corvallis Central Park this Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 3pm to unite against actions of hate and violence.
Community leaders, including Father Simon, will speak in solidarity, and a local choir will lead songs of peace and social justice. After this time of sharing, we’ll go to the Corvallis mosque to offer our Muslim neighbors compassion and support in the wake of the recent tragedy in New Zealand, in which 50 precious people were killed, including a man who once lived in Corvallis as a member of our community.
Our community feels intense sadness at the senseless loss of life at the mosques in New Zealand. We also continue to grieve for those who perished at the synagogue in Pittsburgh and at the church in Charleston. We mourn all people who have been murdered because of hatred, racism or religious persecution.
Join us to stand with our neighbors and proclaim that we all belong in Corvallis Together. Please join us this Sunday to reject hate and choose peace, love, support and empathy.
