The Earthquake in Syria and Turkey
Make a Designated Offering
When we look at news reports from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria,
our first response is to pray for the victims and their families and communities. As Christians, our next reaction is to ask, “How can I help?”
Our Designated Offering for February is Doctors Without Borders, a charity that sends medical staff, medicines, and needed equipment to help people all over the world in health crises such as epidemics, floods, and earthquakes.
Their help is especially critical in Syria, where bombing from the Assad government and the Russians has preferentially destroyed hospitals and other health facilities.
Please help them with their mission
To donate, write a check to the Church and write “Designated Offering” on the Memo line and mail it to:
Church of the Good Samaritan
333 NW 33rd Street
Corvallis OR 97330
Or put it the offering plate at a Sunday service. You can also contribute online; just write “Designated Offering” in the memo line on the form.
