The Reality of Evil
Practical Instruction for Spiritual Work Amid the Rise of Fascism
Peter Fritsch will lead a four-week online course at The Center for Spirituality in Ontario on evil and how to confront it.
The program’s purpose is to teach about the reality of evil: what it is, how to recognize it, what to do about it, and how to apply one’s prayer life to confront it in individuals and collective ethos situations.
As a layperson and then priest, Fritsch has extensive experience in this area and in the past five years has made it one of the primary focuses of personal study and scholarship. He is currently writing a book for the general public about the subject that will be out at the end of 2021.
This program will be of interest to all who are concerned about the growth of fascism throughout the world, and the need for healing in the areas of archetypal greed, corruption, racism, and power issues. He will teach about how all social action must be combined and fully integrated with specific prayer, drawing on the lessons from history, world religions, practical parish ministry, and forty-five years of practice in intercessory prayer.
