The profile committee met in the church on Sunday afternoon. Present were Cammie Bella (chaplain), Elisabeth McCumber (chair), John Wells, Jackman Wilson, Mary Stone-Moursund, Evan Sether, Maureen Morrissey, and David Gifford. Cammie led us all in prayer asking for God’s guidance as we attempt to define our shared mission. In the next few months, we want to build a profile of our parish such that potential candidates can decide if it would be a good fit for them. In this way we hope to attract a new Rector.

Thanks to Elisabeth, and with the help of a Diocesan counselor, we have the beginning of a great process with well defined concepts and points to be researched. The committee intends to meet and report to the parish weekly.

The idea is to construct a profile that talks about us, who we are, what we are about, how we do it, and when. We intend to look into our financial health, our shared ministries, our approach to worship, and how we view community needs and values. This is not an exhaustive list, and if you have any ideas please share them (email elisabeth.mccumber@gmail.com). This process is inclusive, meaning we want to represent all that is our parish, so if you have a thought, we would like to hear it.
