Each month, we designate a particular social service organization for financial support through special collections on Sundays. Our designated offering for the month of August is the Corvallis School District’s Family Support Program.
The Family Support Program is a critical resource for families and the hundreds of 509J students struggling with food and housing insecurity. They provide a food and hygiene pantry, clothing, financial support for after-school activities and school-sponsored sports, access to counseling services, and can assist students and their families in engaging services across a range of needs. Support your local kids in need!
In addition to monetary donations to the Family Support Program all month long, Good Sam is collecting sturdy backpacks for K-12 students through August 9th. While backpacks for any student-aged children would be appreciated, special attention to grades 7-12 (ages 11-18) is important. Please drop off backpacks by Sunday, August 9th, so they can be delivered to the distribution site before their August 14th event. Thank you!
