Making a Joyful Noise to the Lord
Good Sam offers some of the finest liturgical music in the Pacific Northwest. Thanks to the value that our congregation places on the arts, we can produce our year-long Sundays@3 concert series, traditional arrangements with full choirs and organ, Gregorian chants in candlelight, handbell arrangements, and contemplative Taizé ensemble pieces.

All Saints' Choir

Sanctuary Choir
This choir includes a combination of parish members and choral scholars from Oregon State University. We sing at least one anthem per week, and lead congregational singing at the 10:30am Choral Eucharist. We also take on larger, more complex works at Christmas and Easter.
We rehearse mid-September through early June on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. On Sundays, we meet at 9:45am to prepare for our 10:30am service (Choral Eucharist).

Schola Cantorum Choir
This ensemble, which is separate from the Sanctuary Choir, meets on Sunday evenings to provide music for Sung Compline.
Schola Cantorum focuses primarily on the performance of Gregorian chant and is a good option for someone wanting to join a choir for the first time, or who may not have time to commit to a group that rehearses during the week.
Rehearsals begin at 5:30pm Sunday evenings in the main sanctuary, from mid-September through May. After singing for Sung Compline at 7pm, the Schola heads home around 7:30 (a two-hour maximum time commitment).
If you are interested in joining one of our choirs, please contact our Music Director, Zachary Duell. No prior musical experience is necessary – just a willingness to jump in and learn as you go.

Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir is a unique addition to our worship. This ensemble is a three-octave choir, which takes 11 players to be fully staffed – and every single player matters. Unlike a vocal choir, which assigns multiple voices to each part, a handbell ensemble assigns only one bell to each note.
The ensemble usually plays during one Sunday service per month through the school year, rehearsing on Mondays from 7pm to 8:30pm.
If you are interested in joining our Handbell Choir, please contact our Bell Choir Director, Stephanie Wohlwend.
