Spiritual Practices
Our church centers on active compassion, inclusive fellowship, and putting faith into action. We engage in relational worship, community service, and intentional prayer, actively striving to live out the teachings of Jesus by welcoming all individuals and demonstrating unfailing love for their neighbors.

Centering Prayer
Centering Prayer is a receptive method of Christian silent prayer which deepens our relationship with God, the Indwelling Presence … a prayer in which we can experience God’s presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself.
We meet for Centering Prayer on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Bishop Katharine Lounge. All are welcome regardless of experience with Centering Prayer.

Spiritual Direction
The lessons are hands-on, using visual aids like fabric, wooden figures, and models. The format gives children time to ask questions, tell stories, and ponder open-ended ideas. It may also involve drawing, coloring, writing, or playing with the lesson materials.
Labyrinth
The courtyard at Good Sam is open year-round to anyone who wants to walk the labyrinth, which is laid in brickwork on the floor of the space. The labyrinth is circular in design, composed of a twisting path that winds inward, doubles back on itself, takes a wide detour, then approaches again — over and over — until at last you reach the center. Walking the labyrinth is a form of prayer that dates back thousands of years.
