Lutheran-Episcopal Campus Ministry
Luther House is the gathering place for students who participate in programs and activities through the Lutheran Campus Ministry (LCM) at Oregon State University. It is also the building that houses the ministry’s administrative offices. Luther House is a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and one of over 180 Lutheran campus ministries across the United States. Luther House is a registered 501(c)-3 nonprofit organization.

SafePlace Transitional Housing
Good Samaritan participates in the SafePlace Microshelter based transitional housing program by hosting two microshelters and a kitchen building in the southeast corner of our campus. We are currently working to expand to 4 shelters (which will be the maximum we can host). One thing that sets apart the shelters and kitchen at Good Samaritan is that they are fully accessible with ramps.
These units are making a difference in people’s lives. Since 2021, 16 people have stayed in the microshelters at Good Samaritan. The average length of time folks stayed is a little over 7 months. Stays ranged from 1 month to 17 months. In that period, we’ve had 2 children in the Good Samaritan microshelters, each with a single parent, and one with disabilities. We’ve had 3 couples in this time period at this site.
